Billy Crawford Ruppe

Mr. Billy Crawford Ruppe, age 88 of Inman, went home to be with the Lord on Monday morning, April 29, 2024 at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born on March 14, 1936 in Rutherfordton, NC to the late Paul Glenn Ruppe and Inez Womack Ruppe. He had retired as a postal carrier with the U.S. Postal Service, a veteran of the United States Army and the United States Air Force, and was a member of Beaumont Baptist Church. He loved fishing, gardening, shooting guns, cooking, he loved to eat and was an avid outdoorsman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Ruppe.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 24 years, Mary Sue Ruppe; eight children; thirteen grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and his beloved pet companions, Lily and Lucy.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Sanford eulogizing. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Eternal Hills Memorial Park in Forest City, NC.
