Charles Henry Pickel

Mr. Charles Henry Pickel, Jr., age 66 of Arden, NC, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 17, 2024 at Mission Hospital in Asheville following an extended illness.

He was born on January 25, 1958 in Columbia, SC to the late Rev. Charles Henry Pickel, Sr., and Faye Mauldin Pickel. He was a member of Bethany Wesleyan Church of Moore, SC. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jacob Pickel.

Those left to cherish his memory are his life partner, Scott Covil; his sister, Janie Lawson; and his brother, Stephen Pickel.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday afternoon, July 20, 2024 at 2:00pm at Bethany Wesleyan Church Cemetery with Stephen Pickel and Rev. Joey Parris to officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery. The family respectfully requests that those attending the graveside service dress casually.
