Eugene "Gene" Charles Caldwell

Mr. Eugene “Gene” Charles Caldwell, age 76 of Cowpens, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, February 4, 2025 at his residence.

He was born on January 7, 1949 in Jacksonville, FL to the late Elwood and Willie Mae Johns Caldwell. He was a tree expert for over 50 years and was a devoted husband, loving father, and Papa.

Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Ellen “Penny” Cothran Caldwell; three children, Tracy Caldwell (Dave Kraft), Shannon Caldwell (David Weber), and Shane Caldwell; two brothers, Eddie Caldwell (Debbie), and David Caldwell; and eight grandchildren, Braydon Coleman, Maloree Caldwell, Dalton Weber, Hunter Weber, Richard Weber, Jordon Caldwell, Olivia Caldwell, and Cash Caldwell.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 2:00pm at Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Blackwood to officiate. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.

At other times, the family will receive friends at the home of his daughter, Shannon Caldwell.
