Mrs. Sarah Ann Benton, age 87 of Inman, SC, passed away on Monday morning, March 23, 2026 at Lake Emory Post Acute Care following an extended illness.
She was born on August 17, 1938 in Spartanburg to the late Claude Curtis and Myrtle Burnett Stevens. She had been a production worker in manufacturing for most of her life. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by seven siblings; and two grandchildren, Josh Bishop and Scott Henderson.
Those left to cherish her memory include her three children, David Henderson (Devon), Jeff Henderson (Candy), and Debbie Sherbert; her brother, Tobe Stevens, and Judy Prince (John); her three grandchildren, Bryan Black, Allen Sherbert (Chass), and Jessica Dibdakova; her nine great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday morning, March 26, 2026 at 11:00am at Good Shepherd Memorial Park with a eulogy delivered by her daughter, Debbie Sherbert. Interment will follow. Pallbearers will be Wayne Stacey, Melvin Bishop, Allen Sherbert, Allen Sherbert, III, Bryan Black, and Adam Forringer.
