William Cody Freeman

    William Cody Freeman, age 28, left his earthly life on Wednesday, June 7,  2023 in Boiling Springs, SC much too soon.

     He was born December 9, 1994 in Wilmington, NC, the son of Tammy Harrelson Freeman and the late William Thomas Freeman.

   In addition to his father, Cody was also preceded in death by his Special Grandmother, Carolyn Rose Freeman "Mema".

  Cody is survived by his mother, Tammy Harrelson Freeman and loving son of stepfather, Joseph Bannerman Jr "Pops"; the love of his life and mother to his three precious children, Miranda Terrell; his two sons, Carson Terrell and William Noah Freeman, daughter, Roselyn "Rose" Freeman; sisters, Jamie Ives “his favorite sissy" (Jeremy), Rebecca Bannerman (Brett), Hope Bruton (Cary), Addie Jo Bannerman (Taylor), Brittany Freeman; brother, Justin Freeman (Crystal); numerous uncles, aunt, nieces and nephews.

     Cody was a successful lineman that was recently promoted to foreman with Lee Electric where he was proud to work. He was highly respected by his co-workers and everyone in the line work industry where he leaves behind many brothers and special friends. He was also very passionate about his cooking, AKA 'The grill master" and "Chef boy R Cody" as well as an avid paintballer looking forward to competing in several upcoming tournaments. Cody also loved riding his motorcycle through the mountains, fishing with his Pops, and spending time with his family. Most of all, his greatest love was that of his three children, which he cherished.    

   Cody was very charismatic and would light up every room he entered. He was also very high maintenance and kept his mother and sissy on a 24 hour call (so he thought). To know him was to love him and he was certainly unforgettable. He touched the lives of so many people and we will forever have an empty space in our heart.

     The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, June 12, 2023 at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Burgaw Chapel and other times at their home.

     A funeral service to celebrate the life of Cody will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at 2:00 PM in the Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home, Burgaw Chapel, with the Rev. Merrell McKoy officiating.

     Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Willard, NC.  Casket bearers will be J.B. Daniel, Jeremy Greene, Austin Warner, Jeremy Ives, Derek Askew, and David Terrell, with honorary casket bearers, Carson Terrell, Matthew Rocha, Ernest Harrelson, Kel Jones.
